The Wiesbaden “Sternschnuppenmarkt” is a German christmas market in Wiesbaden, Germany. The Wiesbaden city council takes care of its unique style and very good organization. Besides a huge Christmas Tree, a large Nativity, and children’s carousels the market offers what visitors from Wiesbaden and abroad expect: market stalls where traders from all over Germany offer delicatessen, gifts, fine arts and crafts, mulled wine “Glühwein” and Bratwurst.
Because of its proximity to the US Army Garrison Wiesbaden, there are a lot of American visitors and English is heard quite often here.
Another attraction of the christmas market is the giant ferris wheel “Sternschnuppenrad” nearby on the Mauritiusplatz.
